A healthy organic chocolate kisses recipe with a vegan twist!
Perfect melt-in-your-mouth chocolate treats for those quick summer-loving moments ♡ As with the Organic Vegan Coconut Rough recipe, there is quite a bit of heating and cooling which takes a bit of coordination, although not a massive undertaking!
- 1/4 cup Cacao butter (melted)
- 1 cup Shredded coconut (fresh is best if possible!)
- 1/2 tbsp Coconut oil (melted)
- 2 tbsp Rice malt syrup
- 2 tbsp Cacao butter (melted)
- 1 tbsp Cacao powder
- 1 tbsp Coconut sugar
- Combine all filling ingredients into a bowl. Cover and place in the freezer to firm for 5 or so minutes. TIP: Make a start on the icing whilst waiting!
- Combine all icing ingredients into a bowl and allow the mixture to cool (so the cacao butter begins to harden) and hold its shape. Cover and place in the refrigerator if desired, although check and stir every few minutes.
- Once the icing mixture starts to hold its shape remove the icing and filling from refrigeration.
- Shape filling mixture into a small cone size pieces with your hands and drop into the icing mixture. Remove by scooping out with a fork and place onto a baking tray to let the icing set completely.
* Organic ingredient recommendations (Sunshine Coast, Australia): Purchase cacao powder in bulk at your local organic wholefoods supplier (E.g. Kunara Organic Marketplace). Pick up organic cacao butter from Power Superfoods, rice malt syrup from Pureharvest, coconut oil from Pacific Organics, and coconut sugar from Jimalie.
