RECIPE: SUGAR-FREE ORANGE WHEELS
These little sugar-free healthy cinnamon orange wheels of goodness provide the perfect balance of sweet and bitter citrus flavours with a deceptively healthy espresso, raw cacao and cinnamon coating topped with a brazil nut and cinnamon meal. The use of cinnamon and absence of sugar helps to naturally balance your blood sugar levels to keep those sugar cravings at bay!

  1. Preheat oven to 30C (if not using a dehydrator) and line baking tray with baking paper with a wire rack on top.
  2. Dust orange wheels with cinnamon, lightly rubbing the spice into the wheel.
  3. Place orange wheels on the rack and place in dehydrator (or oven) till the moisture content has reduced to roughly 90%. TIP: The more juice that remains the sweeter the outcome, however a higher moisture content results in a shorter shelf life.
Espresso cacao coating
  1. In a bowl, combine all coating ingredients. Dip half of each orange wheel in coating and place on wire rack to set.
