An Australian, I’Taukei Fijian (native) raised between Australia’s tropical North East coast and Fiji’s Lauan island of Matuku. Litia is an avid traveller and passionate about raising standards of living across remote Pacific communities whilst maintaining the environmental integrity the islands are known for.

Matuku Island Organic Farming Project (MIOFP)
August 2016 – August 2017
The MIOFP is a 13-month training programme designed to develop income opportunities for Matuku Island communities through the sale of organic products.

The U.S. Embassy’s Regional Environment Office tracks environmental developments in 16 Pacific island countries and territories, and works with Pacific governments, regional intergovernmental organizations, and non-governmental actors to strengthen and expand U.S. engagement with Pacific island countries in efforts that respond to the major environmental challenges facing the region.
Pacific Organic & Ethical Trade Community (POETCom)
A not-for-profit membership organisation committed to growing the organic and ethical trade movement across the Pacific Islands. POETCom is the training partner of the Matuku Island Organic Farming Project (2017-2017), providing farmers with training on the Pacific Organic Standards and organic certification through Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS).
